COVID-19 UPDATE July 12, 2020

We have gotten most of the results from our all staff and resident tests that were performed on July 10, 2020. We have received one new positive test for a staff member. This staff member has remained without symptoms of COVID-19. This staff member has been asked to self-isolate as they recover at home. All staff members continue to follow all CDC guidelines and recommendations including daily pre-shift health screenings. We have not received any new positive tests for residents. We will update you again once all test results are received.
As you may remember, another part of mitigating the spread of the pandemic is to have a plan for testing residents and healthcare personnel for COVID-19 infection, as many may be free of symptoms and yet may be contagious. Testing for COVID-19 in respiratory specimens can detect current infections and is an important addition to our other infection prevention and control strategies.
We know you will be eager to learn of the results of our testing plan and may have questions. We will continue to provide updates through this method during this process. Rest assured that if you or your loved one(s) are directly impacted, you will continue to be contacted individually.
Please also remember that the Governor has extended our restrictions on visitations and group interactions within long-term care facilities through July 24 (with Executive Order No. 2020-136). In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to protect your loved ones we will continue to restrict visitation as we are instructed by the state. We also know how important it is to remain connected with each other and to express love. Feel free to contact us, by phone or email, to schedule video chats, window visits, or phone calls with loved ones.
